Patricia D'Elia, LMT, has been practicing massage since 2008 and has maintained National and State Certification. She graduated  from The Institute of Health & Healing in Newport News. Patricia specializes in Pre- and Post-Operative care for cosmetic surgery clients, Myoskeletal treatments, deep tissue massage,  therapeutic massage, VacuCupping, facial cupping, sports massage, relaxation, reflexology and aromatherapy. She added Burn Scar Massage therapy to her growing skillset as a compassionate therapist.  Currently she is working towards her Myoskeletal Specialist credentials with Erik Dalton's Freedom from Pain Institute to increase her assessment and treatment skills to be more effective with client's results.

In 2014 Patricia completed ACE's Massage Cupping Bodywork Therapy training to become a Certified Cupping Therapist. In 2017 Patricia completed multiple trainings to become both a Certified Lymphatic Therapist and a Certified Integrative Reflexologist.  In 2018 Patricia trained in Young Living’s proprietary Raindrop Technique®.

 

In 2021 she completed the ACE MediCupping Therapy: VacuTherapies for Health Care Professionals building onto to her existing cupping skills to offer a higher level of cupping techniques that increase benefits for her pre-operative and post-operative lymphatic drainage clientele. While shifting her focus to Pre- and Post-Operative care for cosmetic surgery clients, in 2021 alone she provided over 300 Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) sessions with plastic surgery clients including, (but not limited to): BBLs, 360* liposuction, tummy tucks (abdominoplasty), arm refinement, breast augmentation and reductions, facelifts, panniculectomy (apron removal), and rhinoplasty.  She is currently in an advanced level training focusing on releasing fibrosis/fibrotic or hardened tissue from a chronic state of accumulated and stagnant fluids and proteins.  While she has been offering VacuCupping for lymphatic conditions she is now working towards additional training in the management of hard spot and fibrosis through compression.

Patricia worked as a fitness instructor for 15 years, and previously worked for the Hampton Family YMCA.  Her diverse training includes certifications to teach weight lifting, Yoga, Pilates, as well as function as a Personal Trainer. She was the lead massage therapist for the Bike MS: Ride Virginia event for 4 years. She has also twice participated in the MS 150 Bike Event on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  She continues to inspire people to adopt a healthy life style through healthy living and regular exercise.  Going into massage therapy was a natural transition from the fitness arena.

Christine Hunter, LMT, RCST®  has been practicing massage since 2011 and is State Licensed and Nationally Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.  She is passionate about helping others in ways they may not understand and dedicates her time outside of her private practice to gaining more knowledge on ways of helping others with their health and healing. 

 

She offers sessions other than massage including Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Manual Lymphatic Drainage therapy for pre- and post-operative care following BBL and liposuction procedures as well as for reconstructive and oncology procedures.  She offers massage sessions including techniques with oncology massage, orthopedic massage, myofascial release, massage cupping, face cupping for lifting and drainage, hot bamboo rod, hot stone, deep tissue, therapeutic, relaxation, prenatal, postnatal, baby massage, Isometric Muscle and Body Balancing, doTERRA’s Aromatouch Technique, injury therapy and sports massage for rest and recovery.

Since 2013 Christine has provided manual lymphatic drainage therapy (MLD) for her clients and became a Lymphedema Specialist or Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) in 2015.  This certification extended her current  skills for treating clients with acute signs of edema, lymphedema and provided techniques for clients suffering with lipedema and fibrotic tissue.  Clients can receive temporary bandaging following each session to encourage lymph drainage or compression garment fitting for the chronic lymphedema and lipedema sufferers.  Her goal is to help those in need suffering with auto-immune disorders, diabetes and lymphedema developed from post-surgical and oncology treatments.  Christine also has had specialized training as an Oncology Massage and Burn Scar Massage Therapist. She often combines these techniques with lymphedema techniques for clients needing specialized therapeutic sessions.  Currently she is working towards her Orthopedic Massage Specialist credentials with Whitney Lowe's Academy of Clinical Massage to increase her assessment and treatment skills to be more effective with client's results.  She is also working towards completing Myrna Martin’s Prenatal and Perinatal practitioner program.

She is an active professional member of AMTA since 2011 and is a S4OM Preferred Practitioner.

She has also twice participated in the MS 150 Bike Event in Williamsburg, VA and in 2015 sponsored and donated time offering massage therapy to runners and volunteers at the Freedom 424 Run for Their Lives Event in Newport News, VA.  In 2015, 2016 and 2017 she has sponsored the Peninsula's Shag at the Foodbank events.  In 2016 she sponsored and donated caregiver and survivor massages at both the Newport News and Hampton, VA Relay for Life Events hosted by the American Cancer Society.  Each year she continues to be an ACS sponsor for the local chapter and donates massages at the events including the Breast Cancer Strides event.

Christine is also certified as an ACE Group Exercise Instructor and as an AEA Aquatic Fitness Professional.  She has specialty certifications in Cycle, Barre Fitness, Silver Sneakers, TRX, Pilates and Kickboxing.  She has been teaching at the Hampton YMCA since 2010.  Water Fitness is a passion of hers and she has enjoyed this form of fun and exercise since 2002.  She became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2014 to increase her knowledge and to help educate massage clients and fitness participants with understanding ways to improve their health. 

She understands the importance of incorporating any amount of fitness to obtain or maintain a healthier lifestyle. 

She enjoys incorporating her knowledge of fitness and sharing stretching techniques and postural improvements with her clients.
